MONTH IN REVIEW
The month of May has been a total whirlwind of projects, commitments and extracurricular activities (at least in my life). Countless days were spent working at one job from 8:30-5:00 to only come home and clock in a few more hours at another job (or two). The past few weeks have been a great reminder that balance is important for someone to be good at any job. If you can't offset your work with your personal life, they become one in the same.
I'm a firm believer in working hard, but also making an avid effort to take those vacations or unplug every once in awhile. It's harder when you work from home and need to be accessible at all times (and days of the week), but it's not impossible if it becomes a boundary you set to protect your time and energy. I'm someone who hates turning down work because I feel grateful to have the opportunity to even have something to work on (especially in regards to freelance projects). That said, I've gotten so swamped lately that I've started having to say no to things and I'm trying not to feel too bad about it. Burnout doesn't do your work any justice.

MONTHLY WALLPAPER DOWNLOAD
For the month of June, I really wanted to capture the feeling of spending the evening on the lake among pine trees and stars. These are the elements I truly missed when I moved away from my home town, and they're what I continue to value now that I've returned. There's really nothing like it and I feel as though we could all use a little more time away from our phones and engaged with the great outdoors. I hope you all feel the same when you look at these colourful wallpapers!
As per usual, click on the link you want below and save that baby! Choose one, or download all three if you wish. Lettering was drawn by hand and designs are for personal use only.
I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I enjoyed making them!
Please feel free to leave a comment and share your thoughts or feedback. You can also just comment to say hi - I'd love to hear from you!
Wishing you all a lovely month of June!

The month of April is when Spring really starts to peek through, at least in my neck of the woods. The sun is shining, the snow is melting and everywhere you look, the ground is wet. It's almost a glimpse of what's to come - a teaser trailer of warmer weather and new growth. Towards the end of April is when I really start to feel camping season creeping up, an activity that our group of friends cherishes greatly.
The month of March is on the horizon, and dear February is coming to an end. Personally, March is all about the colour green. Slowly, the snow starts to melt and whispers of Spring can be heard throughout the trees. We celebrate St. Patrick's Day and prepare for new growth in the coming months. It's a time of changing and reawakening after a long and cold winter.
