The month of April is when Spring really starts to peek through, at least in my neck of the woods. The sun is shining, the snow is melting and everywhere you look, the ground is wet. It's almost a glimpse of what's to come - a teaser trailer of warmer weather and new growth. Towards the end of April is when I really start to feel camping season creeping up, an activity that our group of friends cherishes greatly.
This past month we've seen all ends of the weather spectrum, with heavy cold fronts, tons of snow and a weird amount of mild rainy days. My largest accomplishment was teaching myself to work with Adobe InDesign (other than successfully completing and submitting my income taxes, that is).
I'm still taking on a wide variety of extra work, mainly for LovEd and People-OnTheGo, as well as commissioned work for lettering projects and trying to keep up with my hobby writing for Medium. I'm busier than ever but happy to be productive and getting paid to do what I love.
It's slowly starting to hit me just how crazy this year will truly be. We somehow have four weddings to go to in three months! Three of which will be attended by similar people, so although I dreamed of only needing to buy one new dress, it seems that won't quite suffice. Also, the first two weddings are a week apart and happen to be in two different provinces. That'll be interesting.
Anyway, here's what I've been up to this past month:
